August 2009 meeting summary

Hot Topics included:

• Brad Schulz had received the rules and agreement documentation from WE Energies. More members were encouraged to sign it.
• The discussion regarding looking into extending flight times on Friday and Saturday evenings was discontinued.  It will be taken up again in 2011 when the conditional use permit is up for review again.
• The club discussed the positives of this years funfly, how it compared to other club funfly’s this year, and what should be changed for 2010.
• The club voted and agreed to present the Boy Scouts with a $250 donation which is a little more than the club made as profits for the funfly in 2009.
• There was no presentation by HobbyTown USA, but their current club deal is still updated on the deals page.
• Roger Zaun presented a micro sized Yak electric that can be flown in your backyard.
• The membership enjoyed pizza, soda, and a raffle.
